Breed: Miniature Schnauzer

Loved by: Vanessa, Pam, and the rejuvinated, big sister Molly
Friends: I am always following my big sister, Molly, around. I am always watching her and doing what she is doing. She is teaching me all kinds of things...especially that great Schnauzer WOOOOOO howl (I like to join in).
Favourite Activities: I LOVE to pull on strings and especially shoe laces, but my favorite activity is tennis balls. I especially go crazy when there are 4 or 5 of them all over the floor. I am told I hop straight in the air like a little bunny. I also love it when my people chase me when I have stolen a sock.
Least Favourite Activities: When I am not able to play and be silly. You want me to sit still while you cut my nails ...NEVER!
Advice to other Dogs: When in doubt..show your belly.

Loved By: Nancy and Tim and Grandma Margaret
Best Friends: My girlfriend Phoebe and my sister Daisy; my schoolmates Zyviel, Carson and Flash; my neighbourhood buddies Rammy, Remy, Soldier and Kelsey.
Favourite Activity: Chasing squirrels, and that little red laser dot. And chasing squirrels. And car rides. And doing my therapy work (visiting seniors at a local hospital). And chasing squirrels.
Least Favourite Activity: Baths, and being left by myself.
Advice to other dogs: Some people judge doggies on their looks instead of getting to know them--just because I'm big doesn't mean I'm mean!

Best friends: The cats are my best friends, for sure! Aren't they...?
Fav activities: Chasing the cats and shadows, learning tricks, chewing, eating, meeting new dogs and people... Pretty much everything!
Least fav: The Laser. It's no fun to chase something I can never catch so I just ignore it now.
Advice to other dogs: In the face of something scary, stay calm and sniff it out. If you're not sure what to do, look to your owner and they'll help you out.

Best Friends: “There was Lou, a Schnauzer pup in training class, but that’s over now. I’m hoping to meet new dogs in a daycare place so I’ll probably find a Lou-replacement there.”
Favourite Activities: “I love watching squirrels. And I love chasing them in my backyard. They keep coming back, though. Maybe they aren’t taking me seriously? I also enjoy sleeping. I wonder if squirrels sleep? I’ll have to find out about that.”
Least Favourite Activities: “I don’t like to be left alone. Is that considered an activity?”
Advice to other Dogs: “Janet and Lynne and I are a new family so we’re still learning about each other. If that’s your story, too, try to resist hyper-vigilance. Relax. Breathe. Your new people love you - just give them a chance. Use your imagination to see good things instead of frightening things.”
